August & Co.

This session happened way back around Christmastime, but it’s one of my favorites.  August belongs to David & Janelle, and he stole my heart from the very beginning.  It’s only fitting that the coolest parents ended up with this unbelievably cool kid.  Loooove them.

Linen, Lace, & Love

Jessica and Jennifer are dear friends of mine from way back in the day and they recently started Linen, Lace, & Love — an inspiring blog devoted to “finding the joy in all things beautiful.”  I was honored and so excited when they asked me to photograph them for their blog.  Taking pictures for friends sometimes makes me nervous because I feel a bit more pressure than usual to get amazing images, but Jess & Jen made sure to set me up for success.  The shoot was styled entirely by them and they handmade many of the lovely little details you’ll see throughout the session.  The paper boquets?  They folded the flowers themselves from old book pages.  The ribbon?  Stamped by hand, letter by letter, to match their brand.  There is no limit to these girls’ creativity!

Jess is the linen.

Jen is the lace.

Borrowing shoes, like good sisters do.

Jess and I have a long-standing joke dating back to 6th grade.  We’ve always admired each other’s handwriting and will constantly argue about whose is better.  These name cards prove my point.  Jess, you win!

I love you girls SO much!!!  You could not be more gorgeous.  Truly.  Inside and out!!
