Brooke

Brooke is near and dear to my heart.  Our first introduction was in a school classroom way too early in the morning, where we were meeting in preparation for a summer trip to serve in Rwanda together.  I hardly knew her at that point but it became quickly apparent that Brooke was one of those classic overachievers…involved in everything, good at everything, and yet completely humble and approachable.

The 30+ hour trip over to Africa solidified our friendship as we flipped through every single picture stored on our iPhones (yes, all 3,000 of them) in cramped airplane seats to a soundtrack of Hunter Hayes & Eli Young Band.  After spending two weeks in a foreign country together it became official.  I adore her.  Brooke has wisdom beyond her years, she exudes a quiet confidence, and she knows not to take herself too seriously.  Most importantly, her life is a reflection of a true understanding of how much the Lord loves her.

And she’s obviously quite gorgeous too…

Love you, lady!  Thanks for choosing me for your senior portraits… it was an honor!  XO

Until July

I’m leaving early tomorrow morning for a missions trip to Rwanda with a team of 16 amazing people from my school.  We’ll be blogging about our adventures here.  I won’t be answering my email or voicemail until July, but my wonderful sister, Natalie, will be contacting you if you have an order to pick up.  Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support!  (And to Natalie Eastman for being the best sister ever.)

August & Co.

This session happened way back around Christmastime, but it’s one of my favorites.  August belongs to David & Janelle, and he stole my heart from the very beginning.  It’s only fitting that the coolest parents ended up with this unbelievably cool kid.  Loooove them.
